Light up the dining room, living area, or foyer with this classic, elegant twelve-light chandelier. With a wildly scrolling, overall shape that smacks of the fleur-de-lis on Britain's Lincolnshire flag, this chandelier's two-tone Mocha Bliss finish is strong, dark, rustic, and marble-like with almost a texture of its own. Its expansive, flattened, scrolled arms and a scalloped, shell-like bottom bowl and ball, bottom dish, and candle cups and visual interest, while a smooth middle column breaks up the pattern nicely. Vertical lines on the candle cups tie in perfectly with bold pleats that crisscross in the middle of the shades where decorative beads bejewel the look with added sparkle. The light requires 60-watt, medium-base (C) bulbs (not included). Measuring 39 by 34 inches (height by diameter) overall, each shade is 5 inches in diameter. The piece is part of a full Lincolnshire line, offering a classic and elegant look that complements any room. --Brian D. Olson

Flame Shoulder, Ochropleura plecta.

A better evening's mothing. Warm, cloudy and still - ideal conditions. Quite a few moths came to the trap. The highlight for me was an Oak Hook-tip, but I failed to get a decent photo of it. Same went for a nice fresh Green Carpet. So, this Flame Shoulder will have to do.

Oak Hook-tip 1 (new for garden)
Chinese Character 7 (first of the year)
Green Carpet 1 (first of the year)
Waved Umber 4
Flame-shoulder 1
Garden Carpet 1 (first of the year)
Red Twin-spot Carpet 5
Spectacle 3
Shuttle-shaped Dart 4
Least Black Arches 1 (new for the garden)
V-Pug 1 (first of the year)
more pugs - still to be identified.

Micros:
Evergestis forficalis 1
Pyrausta aurata 1
Eriocrania subpurpurella 1
Alucita hexadactyla 10+
Plus some still to be identified.

Quite a few Cockchafers came to the trap - the first I've seen this year. Big blundering beetles that bombard anything in their path!
